Guides → WiFi LED Air Quality Display
WiFi LED Air Quality Display
Your city's current air quality index on the panel, refreshed over WiFi. No OpenWeatherMap key? The no-key Air & pollen app shows UV, air quality and pollen instead.
What you need
- A DataPix, powered on and joined to your WiFi (see Setup).
- A free OpenWeatherMap key.
Step by step
-
Open the setup page
From a browser on the same network, open the address shown on the panel.
-
Add a View → Air Quality (OpenWeatherMap)
Go to Views → New view. On the Add a View page, under Weather & nature, pick Air Quality (OpenWeatherMap).
-
Key and city
Paste your key and pick the city. DataPix remembers the key for next time; change it later in Accounts & API keys.
-
Background animation
The view starts with Breeze drifting along the edges. Pick any other scene, background, pattern or effect, or None — the preview plays right in the dialog.
-
Arrange and save
Press Add. The city and
AQIreading are separate values. Save.
Reading the number
| AQI | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 1 | Good |
| 2 | Fair |
| 3 | Moderate |
| 4 | Poor |
| 5 | Very poor |
Want it red on a bad day? Select the AQI value and use Colour by value — another colour above a number you pick (e.g. above 3).
