What it shows

  • KP

Each value refreshes every 30 min. The view shows the Aurora (Kp) icon, the name of what you follow, then each value with its title above it.

How to set it up

From the US NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center.

  1. Add it

In DataPix go to Views → Add a View → Weather & nature → Aurora (Kp), fill in the form, press Test to see real values, then Add. Want more than the listed values? Pick other fields shows everything the app answers — tick any value to add it. You can also add it to any view as one value: Add a value, then pick Aurora (Kp) under Type.

Updates every 30 minutes (NOAA publishes a new value every 3 hours). Kp 0-9: 5+ is a storm; in the Baltics aurora is often visible from about Kp 5.
